Tokyo!

Tokyo is a beautiful place. My first impression as I was taking a train into the city was: wow this is beautiful!...and there are a lot of rice patties. The place I am staying is wonderful, and because of the length of the trip I am not feeling too jet lagged. All in all it was about 23 hours of travel from when my plane left DFW-not as bad as I was expecting.

I am staying in a missionary guest house, had a lovely breakfast and devotion time with the staff here, and am about to head out for the day. I have today to explore, as well as 2 days at the end of the week. Between then I will be doing ministry with teams here in Tokyo, though I am not sure exactly what, I imagine evangelism, prayer walks, and English classes will be in the mix. A guy named Hunter is picking me up here tomorrow morning, so I guess I'll find out then!

I can see how people fall in love with Tokyo, so far I'm digging it.

Preparing to leave, still need funds

So I'm back from Quest. God showed up and it was an incredible time! I never get tired of seeing Papa work!

Now that I am back, it's been pretty busy getting ready to leave. It's like it was just yesterday God spoke to me about going to Thailand, and here I am, just three and a half days till I leave! I'm finalizing what I need to take and preparing spiritually for the trip. I am definitely in need of prayers as I am working over there, so please be praying! I have been learning the Thai language as well, and have a limited vocabulary, but I am working on it regularly.

As for the political situation: the Government has cleared the protesters out of Bangkok and arrested the leaders. The streets are safe and life has returned to normal in Bangkok.

The biggest need I have right now is for more financial supporters. I have a good deal of money still to raise. Any size gift is needed and appreciated. Please prayerfully consider being Jesus to these people through my hands and feet.

If you'd like to give, there is a link on the right side of this page (Support Nate's work) that you can give securely online, or you can send a check to 1810 Mason Ct, Keller, TX 76248.

I know that God has led me to this, and He will provide. I'm not fearful or anxious, but trusting.

Out of town, then leaving for Thailand

I will be serving on a Quest here for the next few days (www.fellowshipofthesword.com). I will be back on sunday and have 5 days before I leave. It's been crazy trying to get everything done around here, and that's the only reason I haven't given a little more info on here yet.

Please be praying for me and for Thailand. If you haven't heard/read Thailand is in some serious political trouble right in Bangkok, so please be praying that I can even get there. It's no surprise to God that this happened.
